The Madison West Kiwanis Club is very proud of the projects and services we provide for the Madison community. For over 50 years we have tried to find ways to make a tangible improvement in the life of children and an impact for people across the community spectrum. Our efforts take a number of forms and on this website you will find not only a listing of the projects and charities we support, but stories of how we are making a difference.
As you look through the list you will find that we support the community in two main ways, through wholly owned projects and through community grants and scholarships. While many of the volunteer opportunities we provide do not cost us anything except time, many projects and all of the grants and scholarships do cost money. We raise this money through the following efforts:
- Annual West Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
- W-Club Concession Stand at UW Badger Home Football Games
- Various Concession Stands at UW Kohl Center events
- Donations from Club Members and others
- Contributions from the Madison West Kiwanis Foundation
If you are considering joining the club, please expect to participate in both fund-raising and volunteer opportunities. Both play an important part in the success of the club and your fulfillment as a member.
