Years ago a few members of our club, who were and are pretty good musicians, realized that the city hosted banquets for all kinds of high school participation. There was a football banquet, a basketball banquet and a hockey banquet (which we sponsor). There were dinners for achievement in Math and Science, even an Academic Decathlon (another event we sponsor). What the city, and many schools, did not recognize was achievement in the world of music.

So these gentlemen got together with the band and music directors of the area high schools and started the All City Music Banquet. It is a night that a group of students who sometimes get overlooked take center stage and are recognized for not only their achievements, but for what they bring to the fabric of a high school. They play at all the sporting events, during the musical, and at most of the rallies…can you even imagine a Pep Rally without the band providing the Pep?

So in the name of the event founders we carry on the tradition of gathering to celebrate the unsung heroes of every high school. The club provides the food, the entertainment, a speaker from the world of music and all the awards. Never will you find a more grateful group of young adults and parents.
